Enjoying your Italian property

Now that you own your Italian property we will help you transfer the Italian utilities (electricity, gas, telephone, water etc) in to your name or a company name. note it is impossible to transfer these services without a Codice Fiscale and therefore if the property is to be transferred into a company name a new Codice Fiscale will need to be obtained. Additional costs are Refuge Tax (Tasse Communale dei Rifuti) and your property Tax (ICI). ICI is only payable where the owner is not officially resident in the house. If you have purchased a property in a residence or an apartment with common areas a service charge will be due (Spese del Condominio).

We highly recommend that you take Italian property insurance. Here at Abode we have an excellent selection of Italian insurers. If you want to have Earthquake insurance we can recommend international insurers that may offer this.
